This lesson is appropriate for preschool or kindergarten. It uses number relationships to represent information and solve problems by using whole numbers to represent numbers in more than one way, count and order, name, locate, measure, and describe and extend pattern. By the end of this lesson, students should be able to count from one to five orally, accurately write the numbers on through five without assistance, and be able to recognize the numbers one through five. Students will use macaroni for a manipulative for hands on learning. There is also a song to reinforce student learning.
