Main Idea & Supporting Details - Graphic Organizer

This graphic organizer is to help students with one of the most important parts of reading comprehension. Many of today’s standardized tests require students to be able to identify the main idea of a reading selection. This chart gives students not only a chance to organize text into a meaningful format but helps them to understand what the main idea is. The top portion is where they identify what most of the story is about. It also allows space for students to list any supporting details. A great learning tool!
