Physical Education Lesson Plan

Blanket Volleyball
Level: Grade 4 and up
Objective: Group cooperation
Equipment: Volleyball net, volleyball, several blankets or towels.
Procedure:
1) Divide class into two even teams.
2) Have each team divide into pairs of two.
3) Each pair will have a towel or blanket. If you are using blankets, four to a
blanket.
4) Follow usual volleyball rules, students will need to cooperate together to
catch the ball in the towel or blanket and to throw the ball up by lifting the
towel or blanket together.
